Bravo in the US has re-commissioned a third series of Work Out from Mentorn USA, it was announced today (MON).
The highly successful series, set in a Hollywood gym, explores the world of celebrity owner, Jackie Warner, her team of trainers at Sky Sport and Spa and their clients - in and out of the gym. The eight, one hour shows are currently in pre-production and will transmit in 2008.
The first and second runs secured high ratings on Bravo and Work Out has also been recognised in last night’s Diversity Awards alongside other winners, Leonardo DiCaprio and House. The 15th Anniversary of the Multicultural Motion Picture Association Awards saw Work Out win the accolade of Favourite Diverse Television Ensemble cast. Previous winners of the category have included the cast of The Shield, Grey’s Anatomy and Criminal Minds.
Chief Executive of Mentorn Media, John Willis, said: “We’re delighted that Work Out has become such a breakout hit in the US and to be recognised by the Diversity Awards is a great honour. Series three promises to be as engaging, entertaining and compulsive viewing as the first two runs and it’s testimony to Jackie and her team that the show is such a ratings winner.”
Mentorn International has the exclusive international distribution rights (outside the US) to all completed episodes and so far it has been distributed to nine countries including the Netherlands (RTL), Italy (SKY), Denmark (TV2), Sweden (TV4), India (Discovery) and Brazil (Globosat).
