Folio-produced Traffic Cops secured an audience of 4.1 million on BBC ONE last night beating ITV 1’s new drama, Rock Rivals.
At its peak, the repeat episode secured 4.5 million viewers and gave BBC ONE an average 18% share of the audience, peaking at 20% share.
Traffic Cops, narrated by Jamie Theakston, featured some ‘women in blue’ pursuit trained traffic cops: PC’s Sue Scott, Rachel Love and Sarah White, and a husband and wife team, Rachel and Pete Mills who are also grandparents.
The Traffic Cops series is highly successful for BBC ONE. Traffic Cops was hailed recently as the second highest rating documentary on BBC ONE for 2007 watched by an audience of 6.2 million and a 26% share on January 11th at 8pm.
Folio is currently making the sixth series of Traffic Cops which starts transmitting in April this year.
