    BBC ONE ANNOUNCES PANEL FOR QUESTION TIME BREXIT SPECIAL

    Brexit will be the topic of a special live edition of BBC One’s political debate show, Question Time on Monday, March 27th at 20.30.

    With the government about to trigger Article 50 and start the Brexit process, Question Time: Britain After Brexit will allow members of the public to put questions to a panel of leading politicians who campaigned on both sides of the referendum debate.  

    Commissioned from Mentorn Scotland, David Dimbleby will host the 90-minute debate from Birmingham, Question Time: Britain After Brexit. On the panel is: the Secretary of State for Exiting the EU, David Davis; the Shadow Secretary of State for Exiting the EU, Sir Keir Starmer; the former Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg; the former First Minister of Scotland, Alex Salmond; the Deputy Chair of UKIP, Suzanne Evans; and the Times columnist, Melanie Phillips. 

    BBC Question Time Editor, Liam Hanley, said: “At a hugely significant moment in British history, this is an opportunity for members of the public to put their questions about Brexit to key political figures involved in the process. An extended Question Time will give us the time and space to explore what a post-Brexit Britain might look and feel like.”

  • MENTORN MEDIA FOLLOWS SCRUFFTS COMPETITION TO CROWN BRITAIN’S FAVOURITE DOG

    For the second year, Mentorn Media has followed Scruffts, the nation’s crossbreed dog competition, exclusively for Channel 4. Tonight at 8pm viewers can see the finalists who have beaten nearly 1,500 hopeful hounds to compete for the title of Britain’s Favourite Crossbreed Dog 2017.

    Focussing on the family dogs we love - and highlighting the amazing work done by dog rescuers – the competition celebrates the mixed-up mutts that prove it's what's on the inside that counts!

    This year’s competition has been tougher than ever and has seen heats and semi-finals across the UK, highlighting the unique relationship between dogs and humans. 

    Whittled down to just six canine competitors, the finalists get the chance to strut their stuff at the world’s most prestigious dog show, Crufts. 

    Finalists include: Most Handsome Dog Finalist – King Tommy and owner Monique; Good Citizen Dog Scheme Finalist – Biscuit and owner Joshua; Golden Oldie Finalist – Vinny and owner Sarah; Prettiest Bitch Finalist – Ginny and owner Judy; Child’s Best Friend Finalist – Bonnie and owner Grace; and Best Rescue Finalist – Fleur with owner Wendy.

    Tune in to Scruffts: Britain’s Favourite Dog, tonight, March 17th at 8pm on Channel 4 to find out who will be crowned champion.

    ROBOTEERS WANTED!

    We are excited to announce that Robot Wars will be returning in May (TBC) this year.

    Last series we had some excellent applications and we would like to invite Teams from across the UK and beyond to enter with their heavyweight robots to take part in our new series.

    As well as heavyweights (110kg max, 4 team members max) for the series we would also like to invite applications from featherweight (13.6kg max, TBC max team members) teams. Roboteers are invited to apply in both weight classes if they wish and can also apply independently from a heavyweight team they are affiliated with. 

    We are looking for new unique and innovative designs and even deadlier weapons to compete in our fierce robot fighting competition.

    Applicants should send as much information about their robot as possible – Images, videos, diagrams, CAD renders etc. The more information you can provide about your robot, build, and team the better.

    We are currently reviewing the competition rules for heavyweights and featherweights and an update of the rules will be published on the www.robotwars.tvin the coming days.
