BBC One's flagship political debate programme Question Time was on its summer break when riots spread across England in August. MPs were recalled to Parliament, and Question Time came back on BBC1 for a special programme. Our panel featured John Prescott and David Davis for Labour and the Conservatives, former Met Policeman Brian Paddick and the Archbishop of York John Sentamu. They were joined by Camila Batmanghelidjh of the charity Kids Company and Spectator editor Fraser Nelson. Many members of our studio audience had been personally affected by the violence, which made for a particularly passionate and wide ranging debate.
